Gulf Pearls Hotel is a four-star business hotel on Al Dhiya Street in central Doha, offering rooms and suites with kitchenettes alongside a spa, rooftop pool, sauna, restaurant and bar. It competes in one of the most brand-saturated categories in the city — a market where international groups like Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott and Kempinski all operate, each arriving with decades of brand equity behind them.
An independent hotel can't outspend that. What it can do is look deliberate.
We handled art direction and the brand identity. Hotel branding is unusual in how many surfaces it has to survive: exterior signage, room keys, stationery, menus, spa collateral, staff uniforms, booking-platform thumbnails. A mark that works on a building façade and disappears at favicon size hasn't been designed properly.
The identity was built as a system for exactly that spread — a mark with defined behaviour at every scale, plus the palette, typography and usage rules that let hotel staff apply the brand consistently across everything the guest touches, long after the design work is finished.
