Developed a user-friendly mobile application for the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, delivering real-time energy market data, industry insights, and secure member access. Optimized for iOS and Android, showcasing expertise in responsive design and impactful mobile solutions.
The Gas Exporting Countries Forum is an intergovernmental organisation headquartered at Tornado Tower in Doha, bringing together twelve member countries that hold roughly 70% of the world's proven natural gas reserves and account for around half of global LNG exports. Its audience is not a consumer market. It is energy ministers, delegates, analysts and member- country representatives across four continents, who need authoritative data in a meeting, on a flight, or between sessions at a summit.
That set the brief. The app had to carry serious analytical material — statistical bulletins, research publications, the Global Gas Outlook — in a form usable on a phone, without diluting the credibility of the source. For an organisation of this standing, an interface that felt casual would have been as much a failure as one that didn't work.
We handled art direction, interface design and prototyping across iOS and Android. The design put dense material into clear hierarchies: statistics and gas value chain data in one place, research and outlook publications in another, expert commentary and forum events in a third. Member-exclusive content sits behind secure access, so delegates reach material intended for them without a separate channel.
The result is a reference tool rather than a news feed — something a user opens with a specific question and closes having answered it.
