An exhibition stand design project for Almaha Medical.
Almaha Medical supplies hospitals, clinics and individual customers across Qatar with medical consumables and equipment — protective gear, examination gloves, health supplements and own-branded products — from its base in Al Sadd, Doha.
Trade shows are where a distributor like this meets procurement officers and clinical buyers face to face, and the stand has a harder job than most design work. A visitor walking an aisle gives it about three seconds to communicate who you are and whether you're worth stopping for. Get that wrong and no amount of good product or good pricing gets a hearing.
We handled art direction and stand design. That meant working out the hierarchy at real-world distances — company name and category legible from across the hall, product and proposition readable at conversation range — and planning the space so visitors can be approached without feeling cornered, which is the difference between a stand people enter and one they walk past.
The design also had to handle the practical constraints exhibition work always carries: fixed floor dimensions, height restrictions, build and breakdown windows, and materials that survive transport and reassembly. A stand that looks good in a render but can't be built in the time allowed isn't a design.
Tell us about the show and the space. We’ll come back with a concept and a price.
